Celebrity Wedding Trends To Watch Out For In 2015
We love a good celebrity wedding. From the simple and romantic to the totally over the top they never fail to cause a stir, and we find that taking a look at what the stars are doing is often a great way to get new ideas and to get an early peek at what will be on trend for the coming year.
So, we’ve been busy taking a look at some of the top trends of the rich and famous and here are some that we think are going to be really popular with our brides and grooms in 2015…
Personalised Letters
We know that our illuminated letters are proving to be a big hit with our customers and we were really excited to find out that the celebs love them too! In the recent showbiz photos of soap star Michelle Keegan and Essex boy Mark Wright we noticed that they had used giant letters to spell out their new married name in lights!
This is a great idea and adds a really unique touch to your day. We are sure that lots of couples will pick up on this trend and, as we offer your initials in giant 5ft letters to hire from as little as £249 this is one celebrity wedding feature that won’t break the bank.
Classic and Chic Dresses
Whilst celebrity weddings may be big news we have noticed that the fashion for dresses is now tending towards slim and fitted with understated chic. From the glamourous Kim Kardashian to Olympic swimming champion Rebecca Adlington brides were opting for a simple fitted look highlighted with pretty lace detail.
The move away from the larger Katie Price style dresses was probably influenced by the stunningly simple dress worn by the Duchess of Cambridge for her marriage to Prince William in 2011. Designed by Sarah Burton for Alexander McQueen this dress was gorgeous and sophisticated and we think that this design will still be popular for years to come. However for brides that like something a little more quirky Angelina Jolie’s veil – covered in pictures designed by her children – gave her celebration a unique and personal touch!
Relaxed and Chilled Out Venues
If you can’t quite stretch to the seven star hotel chosen by George Clooney and Amal Alamuddine for their festivities in Venice don’t worry. Lots of celebrities are now going for a more chilled out feel to their weddings. Fearne Cotton chose to get married in a simple registry office do in Richmond and Frankie Bridge from the Saturdays had her reception in a gorgeous marquee. We have noticed that many real life weddings are also moving away from the more formal feel to a chilled out vibe that aims to reflect the couples personality and lifestyle – rather than simply doing things the traditional way.
Of course you can always add a touch of Hollywood to any venue with our fabulous fairground lights which are sure to add sparkle to your big day!
